A new direction for social technology / Tallinn · Helsinki · Europe

SOCIAL
MEDIA WAS
JUST THE
BEGINNING.

We're building a new social environment designed around human agency, creativity and relationships.

Social media was supposed to bring people together. Somewhere along the way, it became another form of mass media — optimised for attention, engagement and endless consumption. We believe it can become something much more.

A FEED WHEN YOU WANT IT.
A FIELD WHEN YOU DON'T.

We keep what makes social media effortless — and change what makes it limiting.

Enjoy a familiar feed, or step into a semantic field where content, people and ideas connect through meaning.

Instead of relying solely on algorithms to decide what comes next, you can explore relationships between topics, discover unexpected connections and choose your own direction.

WHAT WE
BELIEVE IN.

Technology is never neutral in its consequences. The choices made when designing digital environments influence what people discover, how they relate to one another and what they can accomplish together. These are the principles that guide ours.

01

Human
Agency

Technology should expand human freedom, not diminish it.

People should be able to understand, navigate and shape their digital environments. Technology should support human decisions rather than take control away from the people it serves.

We believe in systems that empower people without exploiting their behaviour, attention or personal information.

02

Meaning &
Discovery

Discovery should be guided by human curiosity, not engineered dependency.

As information and content become increasingly abundant, finding what matters becomes more important.

We believe digital environments should encourage exploration, understanding and unexpected connections rather than maximise passive consumption.

03

Human Creativity
& Relationships

Human creativity and relationships are ends in themselves, not resources to be extracted.

Technology should strengthen people's ability to create, communicate, collaborate and form meaningful communities.

We believe human creativity deserves protection, and that people should have the rights, recognition and genuine opportunities to benefit from their contributions.

04

Economic
Agency

People should have the means to create value and shape their economic lives.

As technology transforms work, production and the distribution of economic value, people will need new ways to organise their activities, collaborate and sustain independent livelihoods.

We believe digital infrastructure should expand these possibilities, enabling people to create value together without becoming increasingly dependent on a small number of powerful intermediaries.

Our principle

WE BUILD TECHNOLOGY
AROUND HUMAN AGENCY.

Not to control what people see, think, create or do — but to expand what they can discover, understand and accomplish together.

Where we begin03 / 06

WE START WITH CULTURE.
WE BUILD FOR EVERYONE.

Culture is where authorship, meaning, trust and human creativity are tested hardest.

That's why we're starting with creators, artists, cultural organisations and the communities around them.

We're developing a social environment where original work can be discovered, audiences and creators can build meaningful relationships, and cultural communities can grow on their own terms.

The tools that help creative communities organise, collaborate and sustain their activities today may become increasingly important to many more people tomorrow.

SUNDAY
ESSAYS.

Thinking about the world we're building for.

Every Sunday, we publish a research-based essay exploring the changing relationships between technology, economy, culture and human agency.

We examine the promises and contradictions of artificial intelligence, the future of work, the evolution of social networks and the institutions people may need in a changing world. Not to defend predetermined answers, but to ask better questions.

Coming Sunday · 25 October 2026

THE ECONOMY
AFTER EMPLOYMENT?

What happens when machines become increasingly capable of producing economic value, but people still need incomes to participate in the economy?

Our first Sunday Essay explores the relationships between automation, income and human agency.

One essay. Every Sunday.

YOU ARE NOT FED.
YOU ARE FREE
TO MOVE.

Social technology can be more than a mechanism for capturing attention. It can expand what people discover, create and accomplish together.
